Afternoon Break
This ladies meeting
takes place on the second or third Thursday of each month, and meets for
discussion, to hear speakers, and have social activities.
Alpha, Christianity
Explored & Discipleship Explored
There are courses for
those willing to consider the facts of Christianity and to make up their
own minds in an informal way. It is for those who want to know the
fundamentals of the Christian faith and a refresher course for those who
have been Christians for maqny years. Discipleship Explored is for Christians who wish to improve how they live a Christian life and be effective disciples.
Banner Group
A
group who design and make our wall hangings.
Bell Ringing
A team of bell ringers
practice on Monday evenings and announce morning worship on Sundays.
Catering
For special events, such
as the Harvest Supper”, the ‘Friends of St Nicholas’ committee arrange
the catering.
Children and Youth
Children meet on Sunday
mornings, leaving for their own activities part way through the 10.30am
Service. The groups are: Crèche (0-3); Climbers (4-6); Explorers
(7-11); and Pathfinders (11-16).
Choir
The choir lead the
congregation in music and worship at Sunday services.
Flower Arranging
Arrangements of flowers
in church assist in our worship. If you interesting in helping out with flowers in church then contact Andy Lloyd Williams or Julie McPhee
Men’s Meeting
This informal group
meets for discussion in a home of one of its members on the second
Monday of each month at 7.30pm.
Mini
Club
Parents & Toddlers meet
at 9.30-11.30am on Wednesdays in term time.
Maxi Club
A lunch club for village
people meeting at 12 noon on the last Thursday of the month.
Mission
The Church seeks to
reach out to our neighbours and friends in Bathampton with the good news
of Jesus Christ.
The church also supports
David and Heather Sharland, who serve in the Sudan and NW Uganda with
the Church Mission Society.
Music Group
An instrumental group
play at services on some occasions.
Prayer Ministry
Members of the team are available to pray at most services.
Parish Magazine
The magazine provides an insight in to church and village life. It can be obtained from the church or the village shop. Our editor, Penny Dole is alway keen to welcome new contributors
Steps in Faith
As a means of having
fellowship and looking at what God has to say to us through his word,
“Steps in Faith” discussion groups are held in the homes of members, or
church rooms, twice a month.
Transport
Transport is available for anyone who finds it difficult to get tot he 10.30 Sunday Service
