OUR FAITH
Outreach
The churches seek to reach out to our friends and neighbours in Bathampton and Claverton with the good news of Jesus Christ Events such as the an Open Air Service by the canal and the Service in the Marquee after the village Flower Show are always well supported and enjoyed.
We will be organising prayer walking around the villages and also prayer visting for those who request it.
We support Bath Alpha and also run Christian enquirer courses such as Alpha and Christianity Explored
Mission Support
St Nicholas supports David and Heather Sharland, who serve in the Sudan and NW Uganda with the Church Mission Society. We also support 3 other mission organisations each year, currently Tear Fund, NSPCC and The Genesis Trust, working with homeless in Bath. Members of the church working in mission overseas also receive our support.
St Mary's has an annual mission project, which for 2007 is Send a Cow. Proceeds from the the Flower Festival in June will also be given to Send a Cow.
Steps in Faith
As a means of having fellowship and looking at what God has to say to us through his word, “Steps in Faith” discussion groups are held in the homes of members, or church rooms, twice a month.
